You already know what SoccerLink is and what we want to build. Now for the important part: having your own place inside it. The process is short, orderly and very easy to follow. It starts with a message from you and ends with you showing up in clubs' searches. Here it is exactly as it works, no fine print.
It all starts with a message from you
The first thing you need to do is contact us. There is no sign-up button that gets you in within ten seconds, and that's on purpose.
Before giving you access, we verify your identity as a football professional. We do it this way because we don't want professional accounts to get stolen. Making sure every entity on the platform is really who they say they are is the most important thing we do, and above all it's a way of protecting you.
You can write to us through three channels: Instagram, WhatsApp or Gmail. All three work, and none gets you different treatment.
If you have Instagram, write to us there. It's the most convenient option for everyone. Your account already tells a good part of your story, so verification is sorted out in a normal, quick conversation, no paperwork involved.
Your credentials and your first login
Once you're verified, we give you your user credentials. With them, you log into the platform for the first time.
As soon as you sign in, do two things. Change the password to one only you know. And link the account to your Gmail, so you can always recover it and receive whatever happens inside.
It takes two minutes, and from that point on the account is fully yours. Nobody else logs in under your name.
The questionnaire: the foundation for everything else
With your account ready, you can now create your profile. Go to your panel, to the create profile section. That's where you'll find the profile creation questionnaire, which builds the basic structure of everything that will be shown afterwards.
Take it seriously and set aside some quiet time. Answer the questions properly and share as much information as you can: the more complete you leave it, the better your profile turns out.
What you write in that questionnaire is the foundation your entire profile is built on. A half-finished questionnaire gives you a half-finished profile. A well-worked one gives you a profile that holds its own in front of a club.
You hit "create profile" and the work moves to our side
When you're done, press the create profile button. That's the moment the creation process launches on our servers.
From there, we take over. We complement the information you gave us with what we already have, and we build the basic structure of your profile, ordered and ready to be shown.
You don't have to sit there watching the screen. When the process finishes, your profile exists.
The numbers you enter are a commitment
Here's an important note, and we'd rather say it plainly now than later. Don't lie about the numbers.
We run parallel data validation processes. If what you entered doesn't add up, or we detect fraud, we can disable the account.
We're not telling you this to scare you, but because it's a guarantee for everyone. Validated data is exactly what makes a club trust what it sees on SoccerLink. And that trust protects you, the player telling the truth, from the one who makes up a career and takes it from you.
A real data point is worth more than a pretty one. And it lasts a lot longer.
You're in: apply, edit, show up
With your profile created, SoccerLink's actions open up to you. You can start applying to clubs, editing your profile and personalising it however you like, so it looks like you.
And something happens without you having to do anything: clubs start seeing you in their search algorithms. Your profile stops being a folder of your own and becomes information circulating right where decisions get made.
A living profile carries more weight than a finished one
Creating your profile isn't the end, it's the starting point. The profiles that work best are the ones that get looked after.
Come back every so often. Add the season you just closed out, upload new photos, put in videos of your best matches, fill in whatever you left blank on day one. Everything you add makes your profile more complete, more credible and easier to find.
Your career moves forward every season. Let your profile move forward with it.
