Community Guidelines
Last updated: 2026-09-29
SoccerLink is a place to show football and connect with football people. These guidelines apply to everything posted: photos, videos, captions, comments and profiles, and also to private messages. They form part of the Terms. When you accept the Terms in the app you also accept this version of the guidelines.
1. Respect
You can give your opinion, disagree and criticise a play. You cannot attack people. Treat others the way you would treat a teammate.
2. Harassment and bullying
The following are not allowed:
- Repeatedly insulting, humiliating or ridiculing someone.
- Threatening anyone, whether seriously or "as a joke".
- Encouraging others to attack a person.
- Continuing to comment on someone's posts after they have asked you to stop.
3. Hate
Attacking or dehumanising anyone because of their origin, nationality, skin colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or illness is not allowed. Nor are symbols or chants that promote it.
4. Sexual content
- Nudity and sexual content are not allowed.
- Zero tolerance for any content that sexualises minors. We remove it immediately, suspend the account and, where appropriate, report it to the authorities. These reports are reviewed before any other.
- Asking minors for photos, contact details or meetings, or any sexual approach towards them, is also not allowed.
5. Violence
Threats, incitement to violence, and violent images or images of serious injuries posted for shock value are not allowed. A hard tackle during a match is football. A fight or an assault is not.
6. Impersonation
Do not pretend to be another person, club, media outlet or brand. Do not use someone else's photos as your own or claim statistics, titles or teams that are not yours.
7. Spam
Posting the same thing over and over, leaving repeated or promotional comments, selling things, asking for followers or likes, and using automated accounts or tools are not allowed.
8. Other people's personal data
Do not post other people's private data without their permission: address, phone number, email, documents, medical data or screenshots of private conversations. Take special care with photos showing minors other than yourself.
9. Copyright
Only post content that is yours or that you have permission to share. Many match videos belong to the club, the university, the league or the broadcaster, even if you are in them. If we receive a valid notice we remove the content, and repeated removals lead to losing the ability to post and then the account. Details are in the Copyright Policy.
10. Betting and match fixing
Promoting bookmakers or betting tips, offering or asking someone to take part in match fixing, and sharing inside information about a match or a team for betting are not allowed. If you know of match fixing, report it.
11. Illegal content
Any illegal content is prohibited even if it is not on this list.
12. What happens if the guidelines are broken
We decide based on severity, context and whether it is the first time. The possible measures are:
- Removing the content: the post or comment is hidden.
- Deleting the content: it is permanently removed, together with its photos and videos.
- Suspending posting: the account can still view, follow and comment, but not post or change its profile description.
- Suspending the account: the account can no longer use the app or sign in on the website.
- Closing the account: in serious or repeated cases we may delete the account and all its content.
Suspensions can be temporary, with an end date (for example 7 or 30 days), or indefinite. When a temporary suspension ends, the account goes back to normal on its own.
A serious breach, such as sexual content involving minors or threats, can lead straight to account suspension. When we take a measure on your content or account we will tell you by email with the reason, unless the law or someone's safety prevents it.
We have a basic word filter on captions and comments. It does not delete anything on its own: it flags the text for a person to review.
13. How to report
- In the app: from the menu of any post, comment or profile, choose "Report" and the reason. The person reported does not know who reported them.
- Without an account: if you see illegal content or copyright infringement, use the contact and takedown form.
- If someone is in immediate danger, call the emergency services first (112 in Spain, 911 in the United States).
As well as reporting, you can block any user. You will stop seeing and following each other.
14. How to appeal
If you think we got it wrong when removing your content or suspending your account, or when not acting on something you reported, write to us at [EMAIL DE CONTACTO LEGAL] within 6 months of our decision. Say which content or account it is and why you think the decision is wrong.
Your appeal will be reviewed by a person, not an automated system. If we agree with you, we restore the content or lift the suspension. Either way we will reply by email with the decision and the reason.
15. Changes
If we change these guidelines in a relevant way, we will ask you to accept the new version the next time you open the app.
