About the player
More about the player
Right-footed defender, 186 cm and 86 kg, a physical profile who is brave but composed on the ball. A long career down the right flank as full-back or winger, reconverted to centre-back on his move to the United States.
Born and raised in Zaragoza, fully developed at El Olivar from youth categories through División de Honor Juvenil, where he debuted as a first-year U-19 against Real Zaragoza and Espanyol.
Four seasons in the CF Épila first team in Spain's Tercera Federación, all with heavy minutes and consistent involvement. The best of the four, 2023/24, ended with the team fourth in the league and reaching the promotion play-off to Segunda Federación.
The breakthrough season
2025 was his first year in the United States at Sacred Heart University in NCAA Division I. 17 starts, 3 goals from defence, 68.4 % shots on target and a conference title.
The season closed with two official honours: All-MAAC Defender of the Year and All-MAAC First Team.
Summer in the United States
May 2026, Little Rock Rangers in USL League Two. A summer stint before returning to Sacred Heart in August for his final college season, already signed through December.
After December
The intention is stated: the jump to professional football once the college season ends. The physical numbers, the defensive honours and the ability to score from defence all line up with that next step.
3 goals from defence with a 68 % shots-on-target rate. When he gets into the box, he gets into the box to score.
Sacred Heart Pioneers compete in NCAA Division I within the MAAC (Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). In recent years the team has shifted to a possession-based, control-first style of play, a change that started paying off in 2024 with its best record since 2012. That growth was confirmed in 2025 with the program's first-ever MAAC regular-season title and its first conference championship game hosted at home.

All-MAAC Defender of the Year + First Team
Sacred Heart University
First year in the United States, first year at Sacred Heart and his first year playing centre-back after an entire career as a full-back and winger in Spain. Seventeen starts, three goals from defence, 68.4 percent shots on target and MAAC regular-season champions unbeaten, the first time in program history. The team reached the conference final, where it fell 2-1 to Siena despite dominating the game. The season ended with two official honours that captured the transition: All-MAAC Defender of the Year, the award to the best defender in the conference, and All-MAAC First Team, a spot in the conference's best XI. On top of that, a decisive goal in his Sacred Heart debut against Yale (3-1) and the third strike of the year against Canisius (4-1), both game-winners, showing real attacking presence for a centre-back reconverted from full-back.
Defender of the Year and First Team in his first season at centre-back. Unbeaten MAAC regular-season champion, conference runner-up. Three goals from defence with a 68.4 percent shots-on-target rate. The move to the United States could not have started any better.

The season
Season story
A summer loan in USL League Two while preparing for his final college year. Daniel has been the team's second most-used player, behind only the goalkeeper, splitting time between left centre-back, in a somewhat more attacking role, and central centre-back, playing more minutes in a more defensive "stopper" role, covering ground and helping build-up play. He has scored two set-piece goals in the conference phase: the 1-0 winner against Louisiana on the day the title was decided, and the 2-1 winner against Red River in the 84th minute, in another decisive match.
Team context
Little Rock Rangers put together the best season in club history in the USL League Two Mid-South Conference: conference champions, qualified for the national stage and 5th in the national ranking. Louisiana, the league's top rival, was the team to beat down the stretch.
