His entire development, up to División de Honor youth levelHe played in Majadahonda his whole life, from the youngest age groups up to the División de Honor youth side. Rayo is a possession club and never a long-ball one, and that is where he built the tool he has lived off ever since: receiving under pressure, turning and driving forward. His final two years were spent in División de Honor, Spain's top youth division, and in the last of them he trained with the first team.

Four NCAA Division I years, a knee injury along the way, and a return to the starting XI
CF Rayo Majadahonda · Sacred Heart University
Alejandro Almuzara is a left winger from Madrid developed at Rayo Majadahonda, where he played his whole life and spent his final two years in División de Honor Juvenil, Spain's top youth division. He arrived at Sacred Heart University in autumn 2023 and was a starter almost immediately: sixteen starts in nineteen games, 1,360 minutes, the goal that took the NEC semifinal to penalties, and a place in both the conference's All-Rookie and All-Tournament Teams. That year the Pioneers played the first conference final in their history. His second season began even better, with seven starts and three assists in the best opening the program can remember, until a knee injury away at Yale took two seasons off him. He came back in the last five games of 2025 wearing a brace, and this season he has won his place back: six starts in seven games. A technical player built on ball carrying and playing between the lines who, by his own account, came out of the injury hungrier and less afraid of contact.
Rayo Majadahonda: his entire academy years plus two seasons in División de Honor Juvenil, including first-team training. Sacred Heart: 4 NCAA Division I seasons, 38 games, 2,264 minutes, NEC All-Rookie and All-Tournament Team in 2023, MAAC All-Academic in 2024. Left winger built on ball carrying and play between the lines. Senior in 2026.

The season
Season story
His final college year and a return to the starting XI. Six starts in seven games and 377 minutes, more than he played all of last season, with one of the team's nine goals. He says the knee changed him: that now he goes into contact, into headers, into whatever it takes. So far the numbers agree.
Team context
The MAAC becomes the Metro Conference in 2026. Sacred Heart opened the season with a demanding non-conference schedule, including a trip to Rutgers and the Vermont game, and drew 1-1 in their conference opener.
